All New Design

http://www.apple.com/ipad/#now

Sounds like an all new design to the commercial for me. The latest, greatest IPad is here. What is the huge difference that would have me run out a get this over the older IPad or convince me to upgrade or choose an IPad over an ITouch? This comes to my attention after finally getting my computer back which was receiving a new "logistics-board". The guts wore out from all the use I guess. During the past week, my kids and I have spent a lot of time at Apple playing with all the new toys. Top of their Christmas lists this year is the ITouch.

Okay, so does the commercial get your attention? Are you chomping at the bit to go buy the latest, greatest IPad? Did you ever think the day would come that you could "watch a newspaper" like watching a TV show or movie? Do you find the twist of words effective advertising, "listen to a magazine?" If any of you already have an IPad, would you be willing to run out and upgrade? What could Apple do differently that might convince consumers to upgrade sooner?

  1. This commercial does get my attention simply because of how versatile the iPad is. The commercial shows it being used for so many different things that it appears very practical. If I could afford to buy an iPad this commercial would definitely encourage me to do so. I didn't ever think that we would be able to "watch" a newspaper, I just assumed that people would stop reading them altogether. I think that it would be a good idea to show some of the differences between the new iPad and the original one because I have no idea. As far as I can tell the original iPad is about the same and cheaper. I think that if they emphasized how the new iPad is better they would do a better job of selling some of their current customers on an upgrade.
