Doritos! want some? or not!

I am a huge fan of Doritos commercials not only because I love Doritos, but because the commercials are all so funny! I think they do a great job at marketing their product by making their commercials fun and humorous. what do you think?

1.)Do you think this commercial succeeds in their marketing strategy?
2.)Is it humorous or stupid?
3.)Does it make you want to go out and buy a bag of Doritos or no?

    I think it does succeed because I remember the dog going after the Doritos. It's like they are showing how amazing Doritos are, what anyone would do for them... I agree that them making their commercials fun and humorous really helps them market their product.

    I think this commercial is very humorous. I was laughing as soon as I saw the dog running towards the glass because I was visualizing, what most would predict, the dog going face first into the glass. It made it even funnier when the door went down and the guy was on the floor.

    3.)Does it make you want to go out and buy a bag of Doritos or no?

    Not really… it reminds me of the product, and I do like Doritos, but it doesn’t make me want to go out of my way to buy a bag of them... I think it makes me like pugs more though haha

  2. sure! i think that this commercial is successful.... short simple to the point and not quite predictable....

    i think that the commercial has a bit of humor to it... no doubt!

    ugh.... no it doesn't make me want to go out and by a bag of doritos... and i was a little surprised that this was a Super bowl commerical? not sure the title said something about super bowl 2011...

  3. Yes, I think Doritos commercial are successful in their marketing strategy. They grab my attention and they are funny. Sometimes I do watch commercials and afterwards I want what they are selling. The other night I saw a commercial for the Fiber one cereal commercial. I remember that we had a box of that cereal, so I went and made me a bowl.

  4. The commercials I remember are the funny ones! While this one is not my favorite, I like that they are trying to use humor to grab your attention. And, unlike, other humorous commercials, it is actually very clear about what product they are trying to sell. For instance, while I love the Samsung "Spider on the table" commercial, when I was looking it up, I honestly thought it was a commercial for the iPhone.
    And, just the advertising of a dorito makes me want some. Of course, I have tried Doritos before, so they don't have to sell me on the flavor, then only need to remind me that they are out there!

  5. I think this commercial is very successful for Doritos marketing strategy. It was one of the two commercials that stuck out in my mind the day after the superbowl. I found it funny, I think Doritos always does a good job of making entertaining and remember-able ads. It didn't make me want to go out and by a bag (I do that without the ads) but it did stick in my mind which I think is very important to a marketing strategy.

    I think it is humorous and it does make me want to get a bag of Doritos.

    I feel like all of Doritos commercials are successful at hitting all target markets and can catch any person's eye. They always have great commercials. It is very important for especially food product companies to have good commercials so that people will be more aware of their product because their is so much competition between brands so they need to differentiate themselves.
