ReplyDeleteIn my opinion google will eventually take over and monopolize the internet world. Any opportunities for business ventures google has embarqed on them and mastered innovation and provided business and personal solutions for consumers consistently.

I don't think this will affect businessses or social groups. because google was not the orignal innovator of certain social groups or networks. If anything google could potentially help improve the processes of other businesses or social groups through strategic alliances.
3) Would this be something you would be interested in using? Why or why not?
I personally would not be interested in using this new form of social networking but it is definetly a great idea. I personally don't see this concept being able to out compete Facebook, and or Twitter.
1) I agree that Google will take over the industry. They have been successful in every area of the market that they have entered. Google is innovative, and always stays on top of things.
ReplyDelete2) I think google+ will affect social groups at first and then businesses. It's kind of like the new facebook. When everybody was using MySpace and facebook first came out, a lot of people were somewhat hesitant or took time to swith over. It became a huge social media site before businesses started jumping on the band wagon. Google+ will be the same way. People are always looking for the biggest newest thing and with the brand Google has made for itself, Google+ will be extremely succsessful.
3) I think I will switch over eventually. I think everybody well. Again, its the hesitation because of a new product, but once all of your friends are using it, you're most likely going to switch over even though we all know we don't need another social media distraction from our everyday lives.
I think in some ways google is trying to take over.... It seems like they have their hands in everything... Like how you have to log in youtube with an google account its so annoying...

(I mean I don’t have specific examples cause I don’t follow up on what google is doing) but I can imagine that having such strong competitor as google and they have email..... They have apps... Search engine... Google world map... Etc etc if we dont watch out for long then there wont be any other way to use technology~ scary
No I would definitely not be using this... Im not a google fan I don’t appreciate them trying to take over the world I go out of my way to try to avoid using google.... Had to sign up a new google account to access the blog.... And meredith has google gmail but I try to avoid using it in other areas....

Do I think Google will take over the world? Perhaps. And then there will be something else that will be better and greater to come and replace them.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great app for businesses. Do you know how hard it is to schedule a meeting? It's also great for families. I'd love to be able to have a conversation with my brothers and sister at the same time without being present. We have so much fun when we're together, they are 500 miles away. I could also see it as a we to keep my brother's conversations brief--he's a bit long winded. (more than me)
I google search because I've been programmed to use google--it's on my toolbar. I google email through Meredith. I google blog for this class. That's the extent of my googling. This is just the beginning, I'll wait for the new improved version. I like to wait until kinks are worked out. I have a facebook account I never use. I still have to re-create my LinkedIn account for this class. And I still have a flip-phone. (At least I have a cell phone.) I'm slow when it comes to technology. I usually jump on board when someone in my family has instigated me. So I won't be looking for this on my own.
