Followup Can Make All the Difference

http://shankman.com/how-followup-can-make-all-the-difference-in-the-world

The Blog I picked is by Peter Shankman intitled "How Followup Can Make All the Difference in the World." This blog is about how many people these days do not always say what they mean or do what they say. People tend to make promises that can not be kept but it makes all the difference in the world if you under promise and over deliver. By Following Peter's advise people can make sure they are recommended over and over again in the business world.

1) What do you think of Peter Shankman's Blog?
2) Are you guilty of talking before you listen?
3) How do you think his advise can help you in the real world and in business?

  1. 1) What do you think of Peter Shankman's Blog?
I completely agree with this blog! I find myself always saying that I am going to stay in contact with someone or just simply making promises that I don't ever keep.
    2) Are you guilty of talking before you listen?
I am also very guilty of talking before I listen and that is typically when I begin to say things I don't necessarily mean or promises that I dont keep.
    3) How do you think his advise can help you in the real world and in business?
Ultimately I feel as though this advise is very valuable information because I never considered the possible outcomes of my decisions. Especially the concept of potentially affecting a business, or personal relationship because of not following through with promises. Because of this I will definetely consider listening and not over extending myself through making promises within the realm of business and my personal life.

  2. I agree with the blog and think that follow up can be useful. Sometimes I am guilty for talking before I listen. I used to be much works, but now I make sure I listen to what someone is saying or asking before I respond. It is so much better because sometimes if I am not listening I may ask a question they just answered or get lost it a part because I wasn’t listening in the beginning. I think this can really help with connections, networking, and following directions. You never know who you will meet or who a friend might now. It’s not good to make a promise to a CEO and not follow through with it.
