BigSpot Survey Scam

I don't know if some of you have heard of this, but the other day I was watching TV and saw them offering to get paid for doing surveys. I thought to myself "How bad could it be?" So I started to do some research to make sure it wasn't some scam and found this blog...

BigSpot Survey Scam

It started to make me question whether doing the surveys through BigSpot was worth it and if I should trying it, but personally I am leaning more towards not doing it.

Do you think this information is useful?

How does this make you feel about signing up for offers like these?

Do you think “false surveys sites" ffect the businesses using them?

  1. yes! i believe that this info is WAY important and useful~ and i agree brittany i would stay far away from this company that according to your article is not even following the law....
i haven't actually heard ofthis 'big spot' survey company- but it reminds me of ads in the back of magazines that offered to pay to be a 'secret shopper'

i personally am always a little skeptically to offers like these.... and it makes me no less skeptically and im grateful there is a blog out there that looks out for the consumer...

im not sure if these false survey sites affect the businesses.... ugh i couldn't say i have no ideal~

  2. I definitely believe this information to be useful and I thank you for showing me this blog! I have always wondered about these types of businesses and whether or not they are legit. Now I know that some of them cannot be trusted. I have always been pretty weary of businesses needing SO much information about you and this blog has proved me to be right on my gut feeling. Thanks for the info!

  3. I think this I formation was very useful especially for people who have been thinking about doing surveys for money.

This information scares me and makes me not want to sign up for any of these survey companies. With these companies taking your personal information you run the risk of identity theft. Which can cause a whole bunch of problems.

As for the companies that need the information from the surveys, they couldlose faith from the people who do fill them out. Some companies need this information for marketing and for idea for new and existing products. If they lose these people it could make it harder for them to know what they can do to be better.

  4. Thus my concern about anything done on the internet that requires personal information. This is a sad state because it leaves a bad feel for reputable companies.

I think this information has been very useful. I wish more people would have access to this information. The government has laws in place to prevent the public from predators like BlogSpot, but the predators find ways around the laws and sadly, it's the people who need the money the most who are most vulnerable.

I know a few years back my sister was urging me to sign up to participate in surveys like these on line as a way to supplement my income, not that she herself was willing to do so, but she didn't need the money like I did. I didn't do it because I'm cautious of being scammed. Now I'm glad I didn't!
