I kind of find the new ads offensive... do we really need to see a half naked person on a scooter? I think that buying shoes on my phone would be confusing. I have a Blackberry with a small screen. I would not be able to see a lot of details of the shoes on my phone.
"The American public is mature enough to handle these types of images," from Ryan Holiday, director of online marketing at American Apparel.
I may be mature enough to "handle" it, doesn't mean I like it and certainly doesn't mean my 13 year old daughter is mature enough to handle it. Who really is the target audience? Me or my daughter?
So does this mean I can shop while lounging in a bubble bath? My eyesight is already experiencing the effects of age, which is why I won't buy a Nook or eReader. Why would I possibly want to buy something I really can't see? Or is that what they're hoping for?
